Christmas Craft Ideas
When people think about Christmas craft ideas they often think about making cards or decorations for the tree. These are good ideas but crafts can involve so much more than that. You could cook some holiday inspired treats such as making chocolate mints for presents or some old fashioned Christmas cakes for the big day. If you think that store bought crackers are filled with rubbish, why not make your own at home instead.
But the most important thing about Christmas is to enjoy it. Don't start on too many projects. Your Christmas craft ideas are supposed to be enjoyable not a source of more stress. Most people would agree that this is one of the best holidays of the year but it can also be stressful as there is so much to prepare. It is a time to spend with families and loved ones and that can mean having people to stay for an extended vacation. If you have kids, they will be very excited and will love to get involved with any holiday preparations. Their excitement may not extend to housework but they will probably be content to spend hours making Christmas tree decorations or writing cards for their friends. It is fun watching kids trying to make different things and they will love spending time with Mom or Dad. Just make sure that they use stuff that is age appropriate. Never leave small children alone with scissors or other potentially dangerous items.
If you have thought about making your own Christmas stockings but decided that the project was too big, what about making smaller ones and filling them with pot pourri sachets. You can get Christmas scented sachets and they will give off a fantastic smell in your home. You can add them as decorations to your tree. Snowflakes look fantastic on the tree and are relatively simple to make. Simple Christmas craft ideas like this one don't have to cost a lot of money or time.

I would look outside several times through the evening to make sure everything was working properly with the show, and would see kids outside of their cars dancing in the street to the lights. Christmas Solar Lights - Four Reasons to Switch From customary Holiday Lights
Why would anything dump their former outdoor Christmas lights in order to buy more expensive Christmas solar lights? literally there are a amount of good reasons to think photovoltaic Christmas lights.
1. Lights can be used in remote locations without way to electricity
First, maybe former Christmas lights will not work in your situation. I started using solar Christmas decorations because I had no way to electricity on my asset near the road where I wanted to decorate. As a result, they are very low voltage with some strands being as low as 1.3 volts. If the insulation on the wiring breaks there is wee occasion of a major shock or electrocution. On the other hand, former incandescent holiday lights use household voltage which can cause severe even fatal shocks.
Because these sun powered lights are literally light emitting diodes or Leds, they remain cool to the touch. The heat from them will not spark fires if paper or dry leaves ends up in caress with them for an extended period of time.
These Christmas solar lights have their own power source in the form of a solar panel and battery which means you will not need postponement chords run across your lawn. postponement chords can be frayed, they can be cut and they can short out.
3. No electricity costs
Did you know that former incandescent lights use a great deal of electricity? One beach of 100 count former holiday lights may use as much as 90 kilowatts or more in a season. That is as much power as most houses uses in three days. If you pay 10 cents per kilowatt hour then that particular beach will cost you .00 per season. Fortunately, your strands of photovoltaic powered lights will not cost you any supplementary for electricity.
4. Good environmental choice
Christmas decorations powered by the sun are useful to the environment. All of those former lights that you see in people's yards have to get their electricity from somewhere. If those lights are powered by a fossil fuel burning plant, then they are releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Many scientists believe that the emission of large quantities of carbon dioxide into the climate causes global warming by creating an insulating layer in the climate that prevents heat from the sun from radiating back into space. This causes an increase in the Earth's temperature.
Coal fired power plants emit 2.3 pounds of carbon dioxide into the climate for every kilowatt produced. That means the 90 kilowatts used by a beach of former lights while the holiday season will succeed in the emission of 207 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Lights powered by a photovoltaic panel will not issue any carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
These are some perfect reasons to get rid of the traditional, inefficient, incandescent Christmas decorations. think using Christmas solar lights this year to save energy, cut pollution, heighten Safety and transform remote outdoor spaces into festive locations.

Christmas Lights Aren't Just For Christmas Anymore!
Who says that Christmas lights are just for Christmas trees? In fact, why should they be limited to just one month of the year? Renowned designers across the globe are using miniature white lights-traditionally used only for Christmas time-to create unique and unforgettable statements in their client's homes.
But you don't have to be a designer (or hire one!) to learn how to use Christmas lights in your home décor. These versatile decorating tools can be used to create a whimsical look in a laundry room or bathroom, or a more formal look in your living or dining room. Take a look at the suggestions below and then scope out your own home-are there areas that could use a little "lighting up?"
Your Kitchen
Most kitchens are decorated in order to produce warm, friendly environments that friends and family can gather in and feel comfortable and at-home. That's why they are the perfect environment for Christmas lights. We've all grown up with Christmas lights on our trees and automatically relate to them with a feeling of warmth. Try stringing a strand around that tall plant in the corner or along the bottom of your kitchen shelves.
Your Dining Room
A dining room is generally more formal, but that doesn't mean you can't use Christmas lights there, too. If you have formal draperies with a swag try running a line of tiny white lights along the inside of the swag. It will create a demure lighting effect that is sure to charm your dinner guests.
Your Bedroom
A bedroom should be decorated with quiet and peacefulness in mind. Imagine snuggling down under a canopy bed with lights gently trailing along the rim. If you want your living room to speak casualness or even whimsy, then Christmas lights add a great effect. If you have a fireplace, consider placing the lights along the mantel, then decorating it with greenery. If you carefully choose the décor that you place on top, it won't look at all Christmasy. For example, you could place modern statues along the mantel, or country-style wooden décor.
Your Bathroom
Your bathroom is the perfect location for strands and strands of Christmas lights. But beware! This decorating idea isn't for the faint-at-heart or conservative. Especially if your space is small, Christmas lights can open up the room by creating an airy look. Start by stringing the lights around the mirror, and then along the cabinets. If you're really daring, create a fabric wrap-around your stand-alone sink, and then lay a strand of lights around it.
Garden
Finally, don't limit Christmas lights to the inside of your home. If you have a garden in the backyard, what better way to show it off than to illuminate it with beautiful lighting? Wrap the trees, large bushes, and walkways with either traditional white bulbs, or go all out, and use coordinating colored ones as well. (You're not just limited to red and greens anymore!)
